The David Amerson Defending Hands Foundation is currently soliciting support for upcoming events. We are currently looking for sponsorship on all levels to help us achieve this. Our next event is the Thanksgiving Turkey Giveaway. Each year, our goal is to help even more families enjoy the Thanksgiving holiday with a home-cooked meal. You too can be a part of making a difference in someone’s life this Thanksgiving. Show your support by donating turkeys, sponsoring gift cards, by making monetary or in-kind donations.

This year the David Amerson Defending Hands Foundation plans to give away 400+ turkeys for the Thanksgiving holidays. We hosted our first giveaway at Noah’s Ark Angels Daycare Community Appreciation Day on Saturday November 11, 2017, from 10 am to 1 pm. Noah’s Ark Angels Daycare is located at 422 Julian Avenue in Thomasville, NC. This event was very successful. In a little over one hour, we distributed 150 turkeys to local residents in need in the Thomasville area.

On Monday November 20, 2017, the David Amerson Defending Hands Foundation will be hosting another turkey giveaway. We will start off by giving turkeys and food boxes to families in need at a Greensboro area elementary school and a middle school. This will be followed by a community giveaway later in the day at the Glenwood Recreation Center, located at 2010 Coliseum Blvd. in Greensboro, NC, from 4 pm to 7 pm.
